Pursuant to the authority granted by Indiana Code and approved by the Noble County Board of Commissioners, the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office administers Diversion and Deferral Programs that were created to allow citizens who have been cited with certain infractions or charged with misdemeanor or low-level felonies to resolve their cases outside of the formal criminal justice system. Eligibility for participation in these programs is at the sole discretion of the Noble County Prosecutor’s Office, subject to certain statutes and guidelines, and is determined on a case-by-case basis. Therefore, not all people charged with the same infraction or crime may be found eligible for participation.

Infraction Deferral Program – for persons cited for committing an infraction.

Pre-Trial Diversion Program – for persons charged with certain misdemeanor or Level 5 or Level 6 felony criminal charges.

Bad Check Diversion Program – a special program for persons accused of writing checks that are dishonored when presented for payment.
